Mass Spectrometers
The SCIEX 4500 Triple Quadrupole system offers exceptional sensitivity and robust performance for quantitation and targeted analysis. Alongside it, the API 3200 provides reliable and versatile mass spectrometry capabilities suitable for both small and large molecule analysis. For high-resolution and accurate mass measurements, the lab features the 4600 qTOF, an instrument renowned for its precision in identifying and characterizing complex molecules. The Bruker Autoflex MALDI mass spectrometer further enhances our capabilities in the group for its ability for macromolecules.
Our group is also deeply interested in the liquid microjunction surface sampling probe, an innovative ambient mass spectrometry method that allows for direct sampling and analysis of surfaces without extensive sample preparation. This method broadens our analytical capabilities and enhances our ability to study a diverse array of samples in their native states.

In addition to our mass spectrometry instruments, the lab features a Laurell Model Spin Coater and a Hummer 6.2 Gold Sputtering System for precise thin-film deposition and coating processes. The FLIR Infrared Camera enables advanced thermal imaging and analysis, while the Phantom v2512 High-Speed Camera provides unparalleled frame rates for capturing ultra-fast events in detailed slow motion.
For automation and precision in liquid handling, the OpenTrons OT-2 Pipetting Robot is an invaluable asset. The Prusa i3 3D Printer adds versatility with its ability to quickly prototype and produce custom components.
